Arran - Single malt whisky 10 years - 70cl

Arran is the only whisky distillery on the Isle of Arran in Scotland. Located in Lochranza, it was founded in 1995.The distillery is also unique in that it produces whisky using forgotten varieties of barley, as well as a range of vintage single casks, often bottled as cask strength. Produced on an island off the Scottish mainland, its style is more akin to that of a Highland whisky. Launched in 2006 as the Arran Distillery’s flagship expression, the 10-year-old has a well-established reputation. Blended from a combination of bourbon casks and first-fill sherry hogsheads, this single malt expresses the floral, spicy and fruity character typical of the distillery. Unchill-filtered and free from colouring, Arran 10 Year Old is an elegant single malt for sipping. A must-have, from one of the few Scottish distilleries to have remained independent, much like the wild island of Arran itself. - Origin: Scotland - Nose: candied lemons, liquorice sticks, brown sugar caramel. - Palate: citrus, vanilla notes, baked apples, mild spices. - Finish: long and clean. Notes of hazelnut and cinnamon.
