Smoke extraction system for residential buildings
This smoke control panel manages smoke control on one or two ducts:
- 32 floors on a conduit
- 16 floors on 2 ducts
At each level, a floor box (BE) manages the various devices and communicates them to the control unit via communications cables (BUS). When smoke is detected or a manual release (DM) is pressed, smoke extraction hatches on the same level are opened to evacuate the smoke produced by the fire.
A manual control box only controls the smoke extraction devices connected to the same floor box. If the control unit is not reset, new zones in alarm will not automatically trigger the other outputs to the smoke extraction devices. However, it is possible to manually trigger the control of the smoke extraction devices at any time using a control box connected to the control unit.
All the floor boxes, detection and smoke extraction lines are monitored: in the event of a fault, the yellow light in the zone concerned is activated. The LCD display clearly shows which detection zones are in alarm or fault and provides details of the nature of the various changes in system status. If one of the floor boxes fails, the rest of the installation remains operational, and the fault is indicated on the LCD display as soon as the line is restored.
Commissioning is guided step-by-step by the LCD screen, and maintenance and troubleshooting are simplified: a fault diagnosis is displayed on the floor box by LEDs and on the control unit by the LCD screen.
