Type 3 fire alarms, categories D and E: Stand-alone Manual Sound Alarm Box with recorded message and flash (MaMe Flash type). This B.A.A.S or Stand-alone Sound Alarm Box is a device designed, even in the absence of a normal power supply, to emit an audible emergency evacuation alarm signal. The use of B.A.A.S guarantees the broadcasting of the evacuation signal, even in the event of a break in the connection cables between the control unit and the sound diffusers. They are compulsory in certain establishments open to the public in accordance with the requirements of the regulations in force.
