The type 4 radio addressable smoke detector can be connected to the alarm network of up to 255 devices.

This type of equipment is intended for use in areas open to workers.

The type 4 addressable radio fire alarm system has a maximum range of 800 metres in an open field and 200 metres in an obstructed field.
