Ambient or anti-panic lighting must be installed in any room or hall in which the public may number up to 100 people on the upper floor or ground floor or 50 people in the basement. It must provide uniform lighting to ensure visibility and prevent any risk of panic

Note: Portable self-contained emergency units (PSU) must also be provided to enable safety operations to be carried out in any electrical service room.
