Type 3 fire alarm - BAAS MA
B.A.A.S or Bloc Autonome d'Alarme Sonore is a device designed to emit an audible emergency evacuation alarm signal, even in the absence of a normal power supply. The use of BAAS guarantees that the evacuation signal will be broadcast, even in the event of a break in the connection cables between the control unit and the sound diffusers. They are compulsory in certain establishments open to the public, in accordance with the requirements of current regulations.
SBMa benefits from a patented system alarm type indication :
- DM light on: opening of the DM loop connected to the BAAS Ma
- BUS LED on: indicates that the BAAS Ma has been addressed by another BAAS Ma in alarm status.
Main functions of the SBMa manual self-contained acoustic alarm unit :
- Undervoltage indicator glows steadily: mains and battery present
- Undervoltage indicator flashing: battery present / mains off
- Undervoltage indicator off: mains present + battery absent or battery discharged + mains absent
- BP SIGNAL CONTINUOUS: triggers a continuous audible signal for approx. 10s
- 2-wire bus connection for communication between type 3 BAASs
- Possibility of linking a Ma BAAS with a MaMe BAAS (with recorded message)
- Non-polarized 3A/48Vdc servo contact for fire door control on power failure
