Ambient or anti-panic lighting must be installed in any room or hall in which the public may number up to 100 people on the upper or first floor, or 50 people in the basement, and must provide uniform lighting to ensure visibility and avoid any risk of panic

Note: Portable autonomous power units (PIPUs) must also be provided to enable safety operations to be carried out in any electrical service room.
