The Sa Me type B.A.A.S. includes a buzzer and a battery to operate in the event of a "power" cut. Opening the control loop triggers the alarm process, which lasts for a minimum of 5 minutes.

It broadcasts the general alarm signal NF S 32-001. 

The pre-recorded message informs the public vocally in French (and/or English) before broadcasting the audible evacuation signal NF S 32-001.
