Evacuation lighting is mandatory in ERP buildings, particularly for rooms and premises:

• accommodating at least 50 people;
• with a minimum surface area of 300 m² on the upper and first floors or 100 m² in the basement. 

In ERT, the BAES is mandatory in all premises, except for :

• premises with a maximum capacity of 20 people 
• ground-level premises where the distance to an exit is less than 30 m.
