Fire alarm type 3, categories D,E: Manual self-contained audible alarm unit with recorded message and flash (MaMe Flash type). The BAAS, or Bloc Autonome d'Alarme Sonore, is a device designed to emit an audible emergency evacuation signal, even in the absence of a normal power supply. The use of BAASs guarantees that the evacuation signal will be broadcast, even in the event of a break in the connection cables between the control unit and the sound diffusers. They are mandatory in certain establishments open to the public, in accordance with the requirements of current regulations.
