Vigilance in the kitchen!
It's hard to believe that the room in your home that you cherish most is the one where the most accidents can happen. And yet..

The kitchen: a place of danger
Whether you're an expert cook or just an amateur, there always comes a time when the elements are against you and everything can go wrong. Gas, hobs, oven... everything can be the cause of a fire, whether you're present or not. The many flammable products in the kitchen, or the reactions caused by boiling water meeting certain foods, can leave you in a tricky situation.

Don't play with fire!
- Do not leave pots and pans unattended on the stove.
- Don't forget to turn off the stove when you leave the kitchen.
- Have your gas system inspected regularly.
- Do not use the stove as a heater!
If your frying pan catches fire, use a lid or a fire blanket to put out the fire.
- Make sure matches or cigarettes are completely extinguished before throwing them in the garbage can.
- If you use a gas-fired water heater, ventilate sufficiently to avoid CO poisoning.
- Have your appliance inspected and cleaned every year by an authorized professional.

Is someone suffering from CO poisoning? Open doors and windows and turn off the appliance. Evacuate the person from the room and call 112. Don't forget to consult our section gas detectors.
